Your Real Estate Follow Up Strategy Matters More Than More Leads

Most agents think they have a lead problem. They usually have a follow up problem.

Before spending any money on leads, ask yourself a few honest questions. Did I follow up consistently. Did I add value. Did I stay top of mind. Did I build trust. Did I quit too early.

The best business to be in is one that runs on referrals. That starts with earning trust and showing people you can follow through.

The Reality

A huge percentage of business comes from people who were not ready yet. The agent who stays consistent usually wins. Not because they were pushy. Because they stayed present. Because they led with relationships first.

The Three Touch Rule

Before assuming a lead is dead, try one call, one text, and one personal message, or even better, a short video.

Most agents stop after one unanswered text. Don't confuse silence with rejection.

Quick Challenge This Week

Go back through your old leads and reconnect with ten people.

Don't have old leads? Make a connection with people you already know. People you see in your community. Ask for their business. If you don't ask, the answer is always no.

A simple message works. Something like: Hey, you crossed my mind today. Just wanted to check in and see how things are going.

That one message creates more business than most agents realize.

This post is part of the Rooted in Relationships series from Aspen Grove Realty, where we explore what it really takes to build a business rooted in community, trust, and the Bitterroot Valley way of life.
