Know Your Local Farmers

Did you know that in 1950, about 70% of what Montanans consumed was grown right here? Now it's just 3%! Let that sink in.

Some of us from the Aspen Grove Realty Team attended the "Know Your Farmer" dinner that was put on by the Bitterroot Valley Chamber of Commerce the other night to support local farmers in the area. It wasn’t just about incredible food and music under the western sky. It was about waking up to what we’ve lost and why it matters.

We have a chance to reconnect. With our land. With our legacy. With our local growers who feed us real food, grown in real soil, by people you can actually shake hands with.

Huge thanks to @doublekranchmt for hosting this gorgeous night and to the hands and hearts behind it all:@western_ag_research @bitterrootvalleychamber @sweetrootfarm @cultivatingconnectionsmt @aspengroveberries @swiftcurrentfarms Carissa with @mfumt, John’s flowers 💐, and @andreaharsellmusic for setting the tone.

This life of ag, ranching, and farming isn't easy. You'll be up before the sun, working when others quit. But every chore, every early morning, every hard day? It builds something that matters. You'll feed families. You'll heal soil. You'll protect open land. You'll raise animals with dignity and care.

This life gives back in ways city lights never will. And someday, your kids and future generations will thank you for it.If you're interested in supporting ag & local foods 👇Comment MAP and I'll send you a copy of the north and south maps of the Bitterroot Valley where you can source from local farms, ranches, and more!Let’s eat like Montanans again. 🌾
